1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

TechVee GmbH
Paul Shadwell
Switzerland
Email: paul.shadwell@techvee.com

2. Data We Collect

We collect and process the following data:

Account data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. This data is necessary to provide our invoicing service.

Business data: Invoices, expenses, customer records, and financial reports you create within the application. This data belongs to you and is stored exclusively on our Swiss servers.

Usage analytics: We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool self-hosted on our Swiss infrastructure. It collects anonymized page views, referrer URLs, browser type, and country — no personal data, no cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Payment data: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — they are handled entirely by Stripe in compliance with PCI DSS standards.

3. Cookies

This website uses only strictly necessary cookies:

Session cookie (next-auth.session-token): Required for authentication. Expires when you close your browser or after your session times out. This cookie is essential for the functioning of the service and does not require consent under Swiss or EU law.

Cookie consent (cookie_consent): Remembers that you have acknowledged our privacy notice. Expires after 1 year.

We do not use any analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies.

4. Data Storage & Hosting

All data is stored on servers located in Switzerland (Exoscale, Swiss data centres). Your business data never leaves Swiss jurisdiction. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, except where required for payment processing (Stripe, which maintains adequate data protection standards).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with:

Stripe: For payment processing only, subject to their privacy policy.

Your business data (invoices, expenses, customer records) is never shared with anyone.

6. Your Rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG/FADP) and the GDPR (if applicable), you have the following rights:

Right of access: You can request information about the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Right to data portability: You can export your data at any time via the Settings page.
Right to object: You can object to data processing at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact us at paul.shadwell@techvee.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and business data are permanently deleted within 30 days. We may retain anonymized usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and isolated per-tenant databases. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
